Our faithful reproductions are inspired by the Wishbone chair originally designed in 1949 by Danish designer Hans Wegner, the Wishbone Chair was itself inspired by classical portraits of Danish merchants sitting on Chinese Ming chairs. Hans J Wegner is only used to describe the characteristics of the goods made to the original design, and not as a trademark.
